EXCAVATION AT CLADH AINDREIS (Swordle): Volunteers are welcome at Swordle on the following dates, 10am start: JULY: Wednesday 23rd, Friday 25th, Sunday 27th, Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th, Thursday 31st; AUGUST: Friday 1st, Sunday 3rd, Monday 4th, Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th. OPEN DAYS AT CLADH ANDREIS (Swordle): Tours will take place on site in Swordle Bay between 10am and 4pm on Sunday 27th July and Sunday 4th August, no booking needed, everybody welcome. TALKS AND LECTURES: Tuesday 29th of July – (This talk is now fully booked – sorry) 7.00-9.00pm at Kilchoan Learning Centre – The Vikings in Scotland: some close encounters of the museum kind – Trevor Cowie, Scottish History and Archaeology Department, National Museums Scotland. Thursday 31st July– 7.30-8.30 at the Community Centre – The Ardnamurchan Transitions Project: Fleshing out the past through the material remains No booking needed, entrance is free. CAMAS NAN GEALL WORKDAY: Thursday 24th of July – a workday at Camas nan Geall. The site contains a Neolithic chambered cairn, historic graveyard and a post medieval township.
