So guys, last night I had an amazing encounter with the Northern Lights. I got given a heads up by the forever reliable Alastair. He is one of the lucky few in Scotland that gets to see the aurora borealis from his bedroom window! He gave me a shout saying that it was showing very well and it was the best he has ever seen. So at 9:30 at night, as I was just about to tuck into bed, I headed out with my camera and tripod in tow with my waterproofs on top of my PJs! I went to a location that I’ve wanted to photograph for a while now, but I was waiting for the right night! I had this image in my mind for a number or years, it’s of a reflection of the aurora borealis on a loch. Last night was that night; at least the stars eventually aligned for me. It was the perfect night, and best of all, I captured the image I was waiting soo long for! Please feel free to like, share and comment.
