Loch Shiel Spring Festival
Beethoven’s influence and legacy is far-reaching, and we celebrate that in a post-modern and eclectic way, breaking from the tradition of simply curating an All-Beethoven programme. Contemporary works sit alongside some of the repertoire’s most celebrated chamber music of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries; and we explore Scottish music and the links to the Ossian mythology, a topic which fascinated Beethoven and others in the 19th century, linking him to Scotland, although he never visited in person.
