About the property

Oran na Mara is a beautifully restored traditional croft house, sitting in its own secluded garden just five minutes’ walk from the local village store, and offers stunning views across the sea to the Isle of Mull and hills of Morvern beyond. It has been tastefully upgraded to provide modern facilities while retaining a wealth of charm. Character features include varnished wood flooring downstairs, stripped wooden doors throughout, charming painted shutters upstairs and a beautiful multifuel stove in the open plan dining/kitchen area. Ideal for families, the cottage is perfectly situated to take advantage of all that the area has to offer.
Facing south-east, the attractive sun room at the front of the property catches the sun for most of the day, as well as the beautiful views which can still be enjoyed on days when it is too cool to sit outdoors. The house is situated in the township of Ormsaigbeg at the far end of the village of Kilchoan and is well placed for the local shop, pub and the ferry to Tobermory.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms – one double and one twin and there is also a sofa bed available in the sitting room downstairs if needed. With a large, well stocked games room at the back of the house, Oran na Mara is perfect for families with children or for two couples visiting the area together.
We’re sorry – no dogs are allowed in this property.

Excellent cottage – especially the games room.  Surprised we ever went out, but the sunshine and blue skies were irresistible!
