About the property
Ian’s Lodge is a comfortable wooden house set high on the hillside behind the village of Kilchoan. It has wonderful sea views over to the Isle of Mull and provides a great location for walking, fishing, boat and wildlife tours. It backs straight on to the open hills and there is a convenient stile just behind the property – ideal for dog walking or simply taking in the amazing views across the Sound of Mull, which are out of this world. The house is within easy walking distance of the shop, friendly pub serving good food, community centre and play park.
It is a great spot for star gazers, as there is no light pollution and on a clear night the Milky Way always provides a stunning treat. Conveniently situated for all the local amenities as well as walking and exploring, it is additionally perfectly situated for the ferry to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, where there is a great selection of shops, cafes and an art gallery.
Ian’s Lodge is situated in a large open garden with an abundance of trees and shrubs and has plenty of off road parking. The comfortable and charming furnishings create a lovely country cottage feel and the accommodation would suit families looking for a break away from the strains of everyday life.
On the ground floor, the house has an entrance lobby leading to an open plan living / dining area with separate kitchen and bathroom. There is also a sleeping area downstairs with a double bed and wash hand basin curtained off from the living room.
