Glashven, historically the village doctor’s house, is a large, spacious Edwardian Villa with lovely views over the Sound of Mull. Set back from the road, but overlooking the shore, the house enjoys a tranquil spot, within a quarter acre of land. The house has been beautifully decorated while retaining it’s traditional charm, with a lounge, dining room, kitchen, two double bedrooms, and an additional bunk room situated off the landing, known affectionately as ‘The Captain’s Cabin’. Set within the crofting village of Kilchoan, the house is within easy walking distance of the shop, the local pub, the community centre, and the ferry to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, where there is a great selection of shops, cafes and an art gallery.

Downstairs: Living room, dining room, kitchen, toilet with washbasin.
Upstairs: Two double bedrooms, one small cabin room, bathroom with bath, overhead shower, toilet and washbasin.

“Every year for a get together we stay in Kilchoan in a Steadings home and this one was up to the usual excellent standard as the ones we have booked previously, and even closer to the pub!”

This awesome house is on a large lot with beautiful views across the Sound of Mull to the Isle of Mull. House was clean, well equipped, and fully prepared for our arrival. Could not ask for more. It is obvious by the personal touches care that this house is loved by its owners, who also use it as their vacation home. If you are headed to Kilchoan, stay here. In addition, the Kilchoan Hotel, just down the road, had great food and a friendly staff and patrons.
