Borve House, Portuairk, Ardnamurchan
Borve House remains a firm Steading Holidays favourite for families and couples alike. It has a superb elevated hillside location in the settlement of Portuairk, with a good size veranda to take full advantage of the panoramic views across the white sands to Sanna Bay and out to the Small Isles and the Cuillins on Skye. There is a fantastic variety of walks available from the doorstep - just a short stroll to the shores and hidden coves of Portuairk's rocky coastline and all the delights that the rockpools hold. The comfortable and beautifully decorated house provides a warm and cosy retreat after exploring the hills around Portuairk or swimming in the deep, albeit cold, blue sea!

"Views, walks, scenery exceptional! Best place ever! The cottage had superb views from its terrace. Had good fun and food in the Kilchoan Hotel. First time ever that we'd seen dolphins here! The ferry is also handy for getting to the islands.
"The week we had in Borve House was as expected in terms of the weather, i.e mainly good with some rain and wind, however the location and views from the cottage was so good that the odd times of rain could still be enjoyed sitting on the covered balcony. The cottage itself is very well equipped and warm enough not to need any heating apart from a fire on a couple of evenings. , "
"On arriving at Borve, everything was laid out as described in the emails. The cottage was perfect, clean and tidy! It was great to have a prebuilt fire ready to light. The view from the cottage is spectacular, you can see the other islands with ease. The location was perfect and peaceful with the option of a shortcut to the village. The surrounding beaches were beautiful and were only a short walk from Borve. Already looking into booking the cottage for next years trip. Thank you! , "
"A beautiful week in a perfect location. A lovely comfortable house with fantastic views ; love the sofas. Very relaxing and we will return again. Enjoyed being able to watch the tide as it came in and out. , "
