About the property
Ardvaig is a comfortable three bedroom property located in Ormsaigbeg at the far end of the picturesque village of Kilchoan in Ardnamurchan. The property has spectacular views over the Sound of Mull, Kilchoan Bay and to the east, the dramatic outline of Ben Hiant. It is ideally located for the village shop, and is only a short stroll from the friendly local pub, serving food every day, as well as the tearoom, play-park and ferry crossing to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.
Comfortably furnished, with three bedrooms, the house is well suited to a small family and has a lovely open fire for sitting around on evenings when it’s a wee bit cooler.
It has a colourful terraced garden to the back of the property with space to sit outside and enjoy the panoramic views. Ardvaig is conveniently situated for enjoying all that Ardnamurchan has to offer and is only a short drive from the famous Ardnamurchan Lighthouse and the incredible Sanna Beach, both of which offer excellent opportunities for spotting basking sharks, minke whales and dolphins. It’s also close to the ferry terminal for trips across to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.
All on one floor, the house has a lovely living room with a picture window, a separate dining room and well equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms – one to the front of the property with amazing views, and an en-suite shower and toilet – and a twin bedroom and separate bathroom.
½ mile to Kilchoan Hotel, Ferry Stores, Community Centre (Tearoom, Indoor activities, Gym, Tourist Information, Surgery).
1 mile to Kilchoan Pier where ferry to Tobermory departs.
5 miles to Sonachan Hotel (Internet access available)
6 miles to Ardnamurchan Lighthouse and tearoom
We were 2 couples and we were greatly impressed with the standard and comfort of ardvaig. The house was spacious and the living room was the highlight with extensive views across the ocean and the surrounding area. The fact that there were 2 bathrooms was appreciated and the kitchen was well equiped. We were grateful that John and Jacqui from Steading found the house for us at very short notice.
Absolutely, I would recommend this accommodation to my best friend!
The cottage was booked for an elderly couple and couldn’t have been better. As a bungalow everything was on one level and easily accessible and most importantly the cottage was always warm and cosy. The magnificent picture window meant even if the weather was bad there were two comfy sofas for them to sit on and watch the fantastic views. It was perfect
